How do I get started? The first step is up to you. Give my office a call at 702-509-1096, so we can get the basic facts, including your name and insurance information. During that initial call, we will set you up for an initial assessment at a time that is convenient for you. We typically have appointments available within 48 hours, and sometimes we can even get you in that same day!

What does therapy look like?No one can tell you exactly what your therapy process will be like, but you and your therapist together will establish goals for your therapy and determine the steps you will take to get there. Whether in individual, or family therapy, your relationship with your therapist is a confidential one. The therapeutic process – how you share your feelings and experiences – is considered to be just as important as the specific issues or concerns you share in therapy. You can expect as your therapist, I will be someone who supports you, listens attentively, models a healthy and positive relationship experience, gives you appropriate feedback, and follows ethical guidelines. Good therapy should be tailored to you and your experiences. Therapy is not a one size fits all process.

What happens at the initial assessment? At your scheduled time, we will meet in person or via our teletherapy platform. I will ask you questions about yourself in order to get to know you and to find out what your needs are. Areas we will cover are concerns (anxiety, panic attacks, , PTSD, and Depression), history, and expectations. During that time, you will both start to get an idea of what your treatment is going to look like, and how long it is expected to last. Most importantly, you should get a feel for whether or not the therapeutic relationship is going to be a good fit. At the end of the appointment, we will schedule your following visit at a time that works best for you. This initial appointment should last about an hour.
